Launching this autumn, Art in Racing is a bold, multi-year collaboration between rising visual artist Elicia McKenzie and two of Britain’s most exciting young Black racing drivers: Lewis Appiagyei and Ruben Stanislaus.

Blending the adrenaline of motorsport with the emotional depth of contemporary art, Art in Racing explores powerful themes of ambition, resilience and systemic barriers.

At the heart of the project is Elicia’s striking new body of work, offering a visual narrative that documents and celebrates the lived experiences of emerging Black talent. Through exhibitions, workshops, and public programming, the project creates access, sparks dialogue, and inspires new possibilities for underrepresented voices.
